At Beddington Park Academy, we provide effective support, differentiation and provision within a framework that is inclusive in outlook and provides strong and effective levels of communication.
The school will work closely with parents and carers, and other outside agencies where relevant, in order to craft and tailor the very best provision for SEND children.
At Beddington Park Academy we will:
A child receiving SEND support will do so according to three different stages. These are:
‘School Support’ – at this level interventions and activities will be largely or wholly school based
‘Enhanced School Support’ – this level denotes where children are receiving significant input from outside agencies, in addition to school based support
‘Education, Health and Car Plan’ (EHCP) – children who are in receipt of an EHCP will have a tailored provision. An EHCP lists personalised targets and is reviewed annually. EHCPs are authorised at a local authority level, following an extended period of evidence gathering and assessment.
Further details of the types of provision contained within our Local Offer are exemplified in the document linked below.
Beddington Park Academy firmly believes in developing a strong partnership with parents/carers and that this will enable children and young people with SEND to achieve their potential. The school recognises that parents/carers have a unique overview of their child’s needs and how best to support them, and that this gives them a key role in the partnership. Parents/carers hold key information and have a critical role to play in their children’s education
Our SENDCo is Jodie Moir. Jodie Moir can be contacted via the academy office on 020 8688 1390.
